These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Films Shelf mobile application (the “App”). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with Apple’s App Store Terms.
The App offers an optional Premium subscription, billed monthly or annually:
New subscribers receive a 30-day free trial that applies once across the subscription group (the trial is not granted again when switching between monthly and annual). At the end of the trial, the subscription auto-renews at the standard rate unless canceled before the trial ends.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or via the Restore Purchases button in the App’s Settings on a new device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Premium access until then.
If your Premium subscription lapses, the App reverts to the free tier. Your shelf data remains intact in your iCloud and will reappear when you resubscribe.
All payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple per Apple’s standard refund policies.
An active Premium subscription unlocks:
The partner-sharing feature (Premium) lets you invite one other iCloud user to share your shelf. Both users can add, mark watched, and remove films. By using this feature you acknowledge:
Film metadata (titles, posters, descriptions, trailers) is provided by The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. You agree not to use the App to scrape, redistribute, or commercially exploit third-party metadata.
All film titles, posters, and trailers are the property of their respective owners. The App displays these for informational purposes only and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any film studio, distributor, or rights holder. “TMDB” is a trademark of The Movie Database. “YouTube” is a trademark of Google LLC.
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, freedom from errors, or that third-party metadata will remain accurate or available.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App is limited to the amount you paid for subscriptions in the twelve months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
